Rapid HIV Antibody Testing

Testing is free and anonymous, with results provided in 30 minutes. Drop-ins welcome. First-come, first-served.

The Sexual Health Education Program conducts free rapid HIV antibody testing for UC Berkeley students and community members. The testing method is a blood-based finger-prick test.

When

  • Once a month during the academic year, in the Health Promotion Department on the 2nd floor of University Health Services (UHS). Use this Google calendar for information about upcoming dates and to sign up.

How to Sign Up

  • Appointments are available but not required. Use this Google calendar for information about upcoming dates and to sign up.
  • Space is limited, and clients will be tested on a first-come, first-served drop-in basis.

Other HIV testing options through UHS

  • Basic STI testing is available without an appointment through the UHS Lab
  • Purchase an HIV home test from the Pharmacy.
  • Schedule a medical appointment for an HIV test.
