Rosemarie Bersabe, NPPronouns: She/her |
Rosemarie Bersabe joined UHS in 2018 as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care. She received her BA in American Studies from UC Berkeley and her MSN-FNP from Samuel Merritt University. Before joining UHS, Rosemarie worked at the Indian Health Center in San Jose and the Tri-City Health Center in Fremont. She has a special clinical interest in health promotion and education, disease prevention, community health, and underserved populations. Rosemarie is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. |

Melanie Deal, NPNurse Practitioner Supervisor Pronouns: she/her |
Melanie Deal joined UHS in 2014 as a Nurse Practitioner. She received her BA in biology from Reed College in Oregon and her MSN from UC San Francisco. Before joining UHS, she served as a clinician at the San Francisco State University Student Health Services. Melanie has a special clinical interest in gynecology, PEP/PrEP, STDs, and contraception. She serves on UHS' Abuse and Assault Response Team. She is certified to place IUDs and Nexplanons. Melanie is board-certified in Family Medicine by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and in Women's Health by the National Certification Corporation. |

Dr. Detwiler earned both their BA and MD from Northwestern University and completed their Family Medicine Residency at the University of Pittsburgh. They have a strong passion for preventive health, chronic condition management, and working closely with patients to develop personalized wellness plans. | |

Miriam Dunham, MD |
Dr. Miriam Dunham joined UHS in 2021 as a physician in Primary care. Born and raised in Berkeley, CA, she received her BA in MCB here at Cal and received her MD at Drexel University Medical School in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her residency at Contra Costa Family Medicine at UC Davis. Later, she joined Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, where she started their Family Medicine Clinic. While in Oakland, Dr. Dunham also assisted in opening the Kaiser Student Health Center on the campus of Mills College. Dr. Dunham has a special interest in Lifestyle Medicine, which focuses on a person’s day-to-day behaviors such as a healthy diet, exercise, sleep, social connectivity, and stress reduction. Apart from work, Dr. Dunham enjoys spending time with her husband and their lovely, energetic twin girls. In addition to playing outdoors, they love making art projects, cooking, having dance parties, and sharing in laughter. Dr. Dunham is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. |

Leslie Gee, MD |
Dr. Leslie Gee joined UHS in 2014 as a physician in Primary Care. She received her MD from the University of Chicago (2005) and completed her Pediatric residency at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland (2008) followed by a fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine (2011). Before joining UHS, Dr. Gee worked in Adolescent Medicine at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. She has a special clinical interest in eating disorders and adolescent medicine. Dr. Gee is board-certified in Adolescent Medicine and Pediatrics. |

Anna Harte, MDMedical Director Pronouns: she/her |
Dr. Anna Harte (née Bloxham) joined UHS in 2001. Dr. Harte was appointed Medical Director in January 2017 after serving as Associate Medical Director from 2011-2016. She received her BA in Music from UC Santa Cruz (1992), and her MD from Yale University (1998), and completed her residency in Primary Care Internal Medicine at UC San Francisco (2001). Dr. Harte has a special clinical interest in tuberculosis, HIV and infectious diseases, travel medicine, transgender health, and the care of underserved populations. She serves as a primary care provider on our UHS Trans Care Team and also consults for the City of Berkeley Public Health Division's Tuberculosis Program. Dr. Harte still loves music, which she shares with her husband Alexis and children Mia and Leo. Dr. Harte is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Cathryn Imperato, NPPronouns: She/her |
Cathryn Imperato joined UHS in 2014 as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care and returned in 2022 after several years with a Primary Care Practice in San Francisco. She grew up in the Bay Area and received her BS in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience and BA in Theatre Studies from UCSD (2001), her MSN in adult primary care and women's health from Yale University (2007), and her DNP from Northeastern University in Boston, MA (2011). Cathryn is board-certified in adult primary care by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and women's health care by the National Certification Corporation. |

Melissa Lemp, DOPronouns: She/her |
Upon completing her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis, Melissa pursued her medical education at the Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine. Subsequently, she undertook her internship and residency at Mayo Clinic and the University of Minnesota, specializing in Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. As a recipient of the National Health Service Corp Scholarship, she discharged her medical school debt through service at an underserved health care clinic in South St. Louis. This period was particularly demanding as her husband was a resident physician and they were raising three children. Following this, they relocated to the apple country of Washington State before recently settling in California. Throughout her career, Melissa has been involved in community health clinics and has taken pleasure in educating medical students in both Washington State and California. Her clinical expertise centers on older teenagers transitioning to young adults who are navigating the challenges of maintaining good health during their college or graduate school years and as they transition into the adult world. She provides medical support for issues such as anxiety, stress, eating changes, inattention, and substance use. Furthermore, Melissa possesses a deep understanding of the hormonal influences related to sexuality, which can impact dermatological, endocrinological, and sports medicine-related bodily changes. Hoki Min, MDPronouns: He/him |
Dr. Hoki Min came to UHS as a retiree from Kaiser Permanente after serving for 27 years. He has a clinical interest in the evaluation of various manifestations of dermatitis (Dermatology). He published an article on the molecular weight determination of glycosaminoglycan including hyaluronic acid. Dr. Min likes to walk - both urban and nature walks. He also likes to study languages.
