California clinicians are limited to practicing telemental health with clients who are physically in California. 

If you are looking to connect with a mental health provider, you have the following options:

For All Registered Students

  • Uwill Teletherapy: Students can also book a free teletherapy appointment with our partner Uwill. Students can access a therapist no matter where they are located in the world and can register and book the first session in just minutes using your Berkeley email.

Students with SHIP

Students in the US, but outside of California

    • Teladoc - With Teladoc you can see board-certified medical professionals for things like the flu, common colds, and more through your phone, tablet, or computer with internet access. You can also access mental health clinicians for counseling and psychiatry with Teladoc.

Students outside the US

  • Uwill Teletherapy: Students can also book a free teletherapy appointment with our partner Uwill. Students can access a therapist no matter where they are located in the world and can register and book the first session in just minutes using your Berkeley email.

  • You are eligible to find any provider in the country you are physically located in. Please note that you will be responsible for the full cost of the appointment at the time of the appointment, but can submit a claim for reimbursement to Wellfleet (who SHIP is contracted with). You will then be reimbursed for the appointment except for your copay ($15). Please contact SHIP for more information on how to submit a reimbursement.
