You can catch a cold at any time of year, but they are more common in late winter and early spring, and usually last 1-2 weeks.
There is no cure for a cold. Because flus are caused by viruses, antibiotic treatment (which work against bacteria) are ineffective. Over-the-counter medications may relieve some symptoms, but will not affect the course of the illness.
Remember, your symptoms are a sign that your body’s defenses are fighting the virus. Your body will ultimately heal itself, so be patient and be good to yourself!
