Blood Drives

Everyone Can be a Hero: Supporting Blood Drives at UC Berkeley

Blood Drives at UC Berkeley are sponsored by the American Red Cross (ARC) to provide much needed blood to hospitals throughout the Bay Area.

Blood Drives at UC Berkeley are held once a month. Appointments to donate are encouraged and walk-ins are always welcome.

Please go to www.redcrossblood.org, the American Red Cross website and enter the sponsor code "UCB", or call 1-800 RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

You can save up to 15 minutes at your donation with the ARC new RAPID PASS online health history. See redcrossblood.org/rapidpass on the day of your donation.

Basic Eligibility Guidelines

To ensure the safety of blood donation for both donors and recipients, all volunteer blood donors must be evaluated to determine their eligibility to give blood. The final determination will be made on the day of the donation at the blood drive or blood donation center. If you were deferred from donating in the past, you may be able to donate again.

Please see the American Red Cross eligibility requirements.
