Berkeley Hope Scholars Support Group

This supportive counseling group is open to students that are and were part of the foster care system, probation youth, or were orphaned before the age of 18. In this group, we hope to create a safe space for individuals to explore topics relating specifically to system-impacted students navigating in a higher education community. Topics explored would include self-care exercises, healing from trauma, cultivating healthy relationships, setting boundaries, and other related topics that may be more challenging for those that are from the foster care system. The goal is for students to reflect on their unique and collective experiences, build more confidence and social-emotional skills, and develop an increased sense of community in a counseling support group setting.

Fall 2024
