Lisa Bell

MA II - Primary Care

Lisa joined UHS in 2005 and she's worked at the Appointment Office, Primary Care, Specialty, Urgent Care, and Occupational Health. She loves dancing, good music, entertaining her family and close friends, and admits to being a very good cook. Lisa is married to the man of her dreams and they have a cat, Nipsey, that they adore and love to spoil. Lisa and her husband are both believers in Christ Jesus.  

Robyn Bergunio

MA I - Primary Care

Robyn completed her Medical Assistant training program at Unitek College in Concord and her Phlebotomy training at Bay Area Medical Academy in San Francisco. She received her Medical Assistant certification through the CCBMA (California Certifying Board for Medical Assistants) in 2018 and her Certified Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT-1) in February of 2022. Robyn has clinical experience working in Optometry and Women's Health/Fertility. In her spare time, Robyn enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and walking her dog.

Maria Delgadillo

MA II - Urgent Care 

Maria Delgadillo joined UHS in 2013. Overall, she’s been an MA for 15 years working the majority of the time in urgent care and also internal medicine, sports medicine, occupational health, primary care, women's health, pediatrics, and vaccine clinics. Maria graduated with an MA from Merritt College and she’s also certified as a phlebotomist, orthopedic technician, and surgical technologist. Maria loves working in the Urgent Care department because every day is different. She enjoys helping patients feel better when they come in in so much pain and being part of a team that can impact patients with compassionate care. Maria loves her job at UHS taking care of students and being part of a place that feels like family. When not at work, Maria loves watching movies and spending time with her daughters, husband, and family. She’s a cat lover and currently has five beautiful cats who are like family.

Maria Duran

MA II - Primary Care

Maria attended Webster Career College for her MA and BAMA for CPT1. Before joining UHS in 2016, she worked at US HealthWorks in Berkeley and Chevron Refinery Medical Services in Richmond (Occupational Clinic) for nine years. Currently, Maria works closely with eating disorder patients and she loves giving injections, doing procedures, and training new staff members. In her free, time she enjoys going out to eat with family and assisting with every single one of her boys' soccer games.

Monica Gonzalez

MA II - Primary Care

Monica Gonzalez joined the Primary Care Team in late 2021. She received her MA training at Kaiser Permanente School of Allied Health in Richmond, CA, where she also received certification as an ECG technician. Monica finds purpose by serving her community and underserved populations. While not at UHS, she enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling to new destinations, and spending time with her family.

Paola Gutiérrez-Ruiz

Before joining UHS, Paola Gutiérrez worked at West Berkeley Family Practice (Lifelong West Berkeley), a nonprofit organization that provides health and social services to underserved individuals. She has a clinical interest in eating disorders and enjoys spending time with her partner and two fur babies.

Maria Morales

MA II - Urgent Care

Maria Morales received her AA in Medical Assisting from Heald College and is certified by the AAMA as a certified medical assistant. She's also certified by the NHA as a certified phlebotomy technician. Before joining UHS, Maria was working as an MA within the Sutter East Bay Medical Foundation. She is married with two kids and enjoys long family walks with her dog, Taco, exploring the outdoors, and hosting family events at her home.

Maria Perez

Hospital Assistant, Primary Care & Urgent Care

Maria Perez joined the UHS Custodial team in 2018 and transitioned to the role of Hospital Assistant. Maria now supports doctors and patients in all clinics by promoting a clean, safe, and healthy environment. She prepares and stocks clinic supplies, sanitizes exam rooms and sterilizes medical instruments.

Paola Perez-Stephenson

MA I - Primary Care

Paola attended Saint Mary's College of California for her degree in Biology with a minor in chemistry then attended Contra Costa Medical Career College and became a Medical Assistant. Being first generation Guatemalan American Paola is familiar with the struggles of underserved populations which made her interested in pursuing healthcare.

Paola enjoys sports, mostly soccer, and football. Her favorite teams are the Raiders and Real Madrid. She loves going to the gym and watching shows like Grey's Anatomy and anime (her favorite one is Hunter x Hunter). She loves animals, she has an American bully named Romeo and a cat that she rescued from the street that is named Sakura.

Salvador Rios is a certified Medical Assistant and UC Berkeley Retinopathy Camera Operator. Before joining UHS, he worked for a community family practice. Salvador has a clinical interest in assisting with procedures and vaccinations.

Nova Rodriguez completed her MA training at the Mt. Diablo Adult Education School in Concord. She's currently in school completing her prerequisites for nursing school. Before joining UHS, Nova was working as an MA for Stanford Healthcare. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, cuddling with her cat, trying new foods, and going to concerts.

Klayna Rocha is a Medical Assistant in Urgent Care. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking for her friends and family.

Angela Ross received her Medical Assistant certificate from Merritt College. Before joining UHS, she was working at an urgent care clinic. Angela loves the 49ers, dogs, coffee, and her three daughters and grandson. 

Michael Snider

MA III - Urgent Care

Michael has been a full-time EMT/medical assistant at City College of San Francisco for over 10 years. He earned his Medical Assistant Certification, EMT Certification, Registered Orthopedic Certification, and Allied Health Instructor Certification. Michael has a clinical interest in vaccines and emergency care. He enjoys volunteering and spending time with his three cats — Jessie, Nobe, and Abbey.

Hung joined UHS in May 2022. She took a Clinical Medical Assisting Program at Merritt College, Oakland. Hung has two kids, a daughter named Lia, and a son named Charlie. Hung likes succulents, and pets and she likes biking.

Vicki received her Clinical Medical Assistant Certification from the NHA. She had previously worked as a medical assistant at a Primary Care- Internal Medicine Private Practice. Vicki has a clinical interest in primary care, psychiatry, and working with underserved populations. In her free time, she enjoys reading books, taking short walks, and spending time with her cat Nemo. She enjoys engaging in meaningful conversations and connecting with people. On the weekends, she volunteers at Highland Hospital.
