New fall or spring semester students |
Eligible to use UHS services 30 calendar days prior to the first day of the semester.

All registered students | Eligible to use all UHS services during the fall and spring semesters. For 2021-22, services available August 1, 2021-July 31, 2022. Hours and services are curtailed during scheduled holidays and winter/spring recesses during the school year. |
Registered summer session students | Eligible to use UHS services during the summer from May 23, 2022 to August 12, 2022. |
Non-SHIP enrolled students who graduate or leave UCB at the end of a given semester |
If SPRING is your last semester: eligible for UHS services until July 31. If FALL is your last semester: eligible for UHS services until December 31. |

Spouses and domestic partners of registered Berkeley students. |
Eligible for limited services at the full fees-for-service rate: Couples Counseling, Flu Clinic, International Travel Clinic, and Career Counseling. |
UC Extension International Student and UC Extension International Concurrent Student |
Eligible only for Counseling services excluding Psychiatry and Social Services. Extension students are not eligible for medical or any other services except those open to the public (Flu Clinic, International Travel Clinic, and Career Counseling). Note: we do not accept any other insurance except the Berkeley Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). |
UCB Visiting Scholar and Postdocs |
Eligible for limited services: Flu Clinic, International Travel Clinic, Be Well at Work - Wellness, Be Well at Work - Work/Life, Be Well at Work - Employee Assistance and Be Well at Work - Disability Management's Worker's Comp at full fee-for-service rates. Also eligible for Career Counseling but must complete a background information form and submit a resume to our Career Counseling Library prior to being scheduled for visits. Note: there are some limitations on Career Library services with some services provided free of charge. |
Dependents of UCB Visiting Scholars, Visiting Student Researchers, and Postdocs | Eligible for limited services: Flu Clinic, International Travel Clinic, and Career Counseling at the full fees-for-service rate. |
