Be Well at Work - Faculty/Staff Wellness Program

Be Well at Work -- Wellness Program strives to create a healthy campus community and work environment through integrated programs and services designed to:

  • Provide faculty and staff with tools and skills for leading healthy lifestyles and preventing injury and illness.

  • Build a healthy workplace that supports healthy lifestyles by making the healthy choice the easy choice.

The Wellness Program has a a collaborative partnership among Environment Health and Safety(link is external), Human Resources(link is external), the Physical Education Program(link is external)Recreational Sports(link is external) and the Be Well at Work -- Faculty/Staff Health Programs.

Cori Evans Staff

Cori joined UHS after working as a Corporate Wellness Manager where she provided fitness and health management services to companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. She oversees the Be Well at Work - Wellness Program on the UC Berkeley campus in addition to Know Your Numbers health screenings and events. Cori also manages the UC Berkeley Wellness Ambassador Program.  

Cori received her MA in Sports Management from USF and her BS in Exercise Science from UC Davis where she competed in Track and Field. She went on to play Women’s Tackle Football for nearly ten years post-college and now enjoys weekly bowling, volleyball leagues, and weekend golf and hiking excursions with friends. Cori is originally from Wichita, Kansas, home of the Wichita State Shockers.

Wellness Program Dietitian

Kim joined UHS as the Wellness Program Dietitian in 2014 and is responsible for nutrition workshops, behavior change programs, and the Food and Beverage Choices Policy. She graduated from Virginia Tech and completed her dietetic internship at Cal State Long Beach. In addition to her passion for cooking and sustainability (Kim spent a month volunteering on an organic farm on the Central Coast), she enjoys soccer, tennis, hiking, and snowboarding. Kim is also a certified RAD women's self-defense instructor. 

Lindy West Staff

Lindy received her master's degree in Nursing and focuses on risk reduction and prevention in her work. Prior to joining UHS, she was self-employed and working on developing Return to Work and illness/injury prevention programs for public and corporate entities.

Lindy’s seven years at UC Berkeley have offered her great fulfillment as a Worksite Wellness Specialist. She provides wellness, education, and healthy lifestyle programs to employees in high injury departments: Housing & Dining (RSSP) and Facility Services. “I am always thrilled when I observe an employee's “light bulb” come on in understanding a new wellness concept and how to apply it to their lives.”

In her leisure time, Lindy enjoys exploring the California outdoors, bicycling, swimming, and hanging out with her family.

The Wellness Program, has been based on a collaborative partnership model since the program started in 1990. Working with our campus partners, the Wellness Program Planning Committee functions to align common goals on overall wellness strategy, collaborates on initiatives, and advises on programs and services.
