The Travel & Immunizations team at UHS is dedicated to helping UC Berkeley students stay healthy both on campus and abroad. Our team includes clinicians, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff who work together to provide expert travel health consultations, required and recommended vaccinations, and support for meeting UC immunization and TB requirements. Rosemarie Bersabe, FNPPronouns: She/her |
Rosemarie Bersabe joined UHS in 2018 as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care. She received her BA in American Studies from UC Berkeley and her MSN-FNP from Samuel Merritt University. Before joining UHS, Rosemarie worked at the Indian Health Center in San Jose and the Tri-City Health Center in Fremont. She has a special clinical interest in health promotion and education, disease prevention, community health, and underserved populations. Rosemarie is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. |

Anna Harte, MDMedical Director Pronouns: She/her |
Dr. Anna Harte (née Bloxham) joined UHS in 2001. Dr. Harte was appointed Medical Director in January 2017 after serving as Associate Medical Director from 2011-2016. She received her BA in Music from UC Santa Cruz (1992), her MD from Yale University (1998), and completed her residency in Primary Care Internal Medicine at UC San Francisco (2001). Dr. Harte loves travelling and experiencing other cultures and perspectives, but finds her happiest place in the wilderness, hiking and camping, and just being present in nature. Katie Leach, FNP, MSNPronouns: she/her |
Katie Leach (she/her) joined UHS in 2019 as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care. She received her BA in Latin American Studies from UC San Diego in 2011 and her MSN from Yale University in 2014. She started her career working in community health centers and free clinics working predominantly with marginalized communities of color. In student health, she has worked at Yale University, UC Berkeley, and the University of Michigan. She has a special clinical interest in helping people have safe and consensual sex with tools like contraception, STI testing, and STI prevention including HIV PrEP, HIV PEP, and DoxyPEP. She also provides gender-affirming care, including gender-affirming hormones as well as gender-inclusive primary care services. She is a member of the Trans Care Team, co-chair of the Abuse and Assault Response Team, and the primary care provider for folx living with HIV and for patients with Latent Tuberculosis infections. Katie is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is also a certified HIV Specialist from the American Academy of HIV Medicine. Additional languages: Spanish |
