Campus Mobile Crisis Response Team

The Campus Mobile Crisis Response Team provides immediate, compassionate support during mental health crises on campus. This multidisciplinary team is specially trained to respond with care, respect, and de-escalation strategies in moments of distress.

Amarjit Kaur is an LMFT, with over 15 years of experience in the mental health and education fields. She completed her undergraduate and graduate work at San Francisco State. Her experience includes working within non-profit organizations, K-12 Schools, and most recently as a Clinical Supervisor with San Francisco's Street Crisis Response. She is well-versed in program development and implementation, crisis intervention, and training. 

In her spare time, AJ often boxes and weigh lifts. Spending time with friends and family is often a highlight of her day or week. Traveling is now limited, but definitely a coveted activity.

Aaron Cohen

Training Coordinator

Aaron S. Cohen, PhD is a licensed psychologist.  He worked at UC Berkeley from 1999-2023 retiring after almost 25 years on campus.  He has rejoined the CMCR team  to support hiring and training.  He comes back to CMCR with 13 years of mobile crisis experience working with Alameda County Behavioral Health Care's Mobile Crisis Team in Oakland.  During his years at UC Berkeley he has worked for the Disabled Students Program and CAPS.  During Aaron's time at CAPS he has led the Residence life satellite office and acted as the Campus Crisis and Mental Health Training Coordinator.
