Chronic Health Conditions Support Group

The Chronic Health Conditions Support Group is designed for students to give and receive support from peers who are experiencing a medical concern impacting their mental health or quality of life. This may include but is not limited to chronic health conditions, processing a recent diagnosis, chronic pain, or post-concussion support. Healing Through Grief and Loss

In this 8-week process group, we will explore some of the teachings of grief, share how we maintain a relational connection to our ancestors and loved ones beyond death, and support one another in coping with the strong emotions that accompany us on our healing journey.

Managing Health-Related Fears & Worries

This single-session psycho-educational workshop on health anxiety is focused on increasing your understanding of (1) the body's physical sensations and responses, (2) the different ways that persistent worry about our health may impact our stress response and behaviors, and (3) strategies for coping with thoughts, behaviors, and emotions related to health, pain, and physiological sensations.

Grad Women's Support

This support group is offered for students who self-identify as female graduate students who wish to come together to share the challenges and struggles of being a grad student, discuss ways to balance school & personal life, discuss relationships with advisors and peers, increase self-confidence, and develop relationships with other women in grad school.

Berkeley Hope Scholars Support Group

This supportive counseling group is open to students that are and were part of the foster care system, probation youth, or were orphaned before the age of 18. In this group, we hope to create a safe space for individuals to explore topics relating specifically to system-impacted students navigating in a higher education community. Topics explored would include self-care exercises, healing from trauma, cultivating healthy relationships, setting boundaries, and other related topics that may be more challenging for those that are from the foster care system. Keeping Your Balance Bipolar Workshop

This workshop is for students who have a diagnosis of bipolar disorder and want to focus on staying well and preventing relapse. The workshop will focus on monitoring symptoms, recognizing warning signs, understanding the impact of individual symptoms, and developing an action plan to prevent relapse into (hypo)mania and/ or depression. The workshop will be in two sessions, each 1.5 hours, and held 1 week apart. Students should plan to attend both sessions.
