Eating Disorder and Malnutrition Support at UHS

At University Health Services there is help for students who struggle with eating disorders (ED) and disordered eating behaviors. Healthcare providers at UHS address the physical, psychological, and nutritional aspects of an ED and support students in recovery.

The brief counseling model has been adjusted to meet the immediate needs of students and to preserve the health of students and staff. All initial visits with counselors are by phone or video.

New to Social Services? Students who need support and do not have an assigned counselor should leave a voicemail at (510) 642-6074 to schedule a phone or video appointment.

Follow-Up Appointments - Students who have scheduled follow-up appointments should check their secure messages for updates from their counselor.

Alcohol and Other Drugs Counseling

Social Services offers a range of alcohol and other drug-related services, supporting a spectrum of harm reduction goals for individuals and our campus community.

There is no charge to get started, and all registered students can access services regardless of their insurance plan.
