1 Continuing/Graduating MFE students have Spring 2025 coverage from January 1, 2025, to May 31, 2025. The cost of SHIP is $2,665.
2 This applies to the incoming class for the first summer in which they start and returning summer students only. After summer, programs roll into regular Fall and Spring SHIP coverage periods and costs.
3Students will need to purchase SHIP for the month of August 2025. The enrollment period is from July 1, 2025, to August 1, 2025. To request enrollment, contact our Enrollment & Waiver Coordinator, Sheila Edwards, at sheilaedwards@berkeley.edu during the enrollment period.

- Eligibility: Voluntary SHIP is available for the dependents of students enrolled in SHIP. Please visit our Insurance for Dependents webpage to find out who is eligible.
- Note: Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 0.5 units for the summer term to be eligible for SHIP and to add their dependents onto SHIP. If the student is not enrolled in classes and SHIP, the request for dependent enrollment will be denied.
