Jocelyn Chang PT

Jocelyn Chang, PT, DPT, OCS

Jocelyn Chang joined UHS in 2019 as a Physical Therapist. She received her BPH from UC Berkeley and her DPT from the University of Southern California. She then completed an Orthopedic Residency at Stanford Healthcare. Jocelyn has a special clinical interest in movement science, re-education, orthopedics, and injury prevention. She was a co-author on the publication “Demographics, Activity Level, and Shoulder Health History of Populations Participating in CrossFit: A Descriptive Analysis” and is part of an ongoing study on the prevalence of shoulder pain and disability in youth competitive swimmers.

Read Jeff's Staff Highlight

Jeff Chen joined UHS in 2014 as a Physical Therapist. He received his BA in Mathematics from NYU and his DPT from Columbia University. A native New Yorker, Jeff gained experience treating brain injury and spinal cord patients at Bellevue Hospital before moving to California in 2012. Prior to joining the UHS, he worked in an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Marin County. Jeff has a special clinical interest in sports medicine and injury prevention. 

Matt Garet


Physical Therapist

Matthew Garret received his BA in Excercise Science from George Washington University (2000) and his DPT from Duke University (2004). Before joining UHS, Matthew worked in an outpatient orthopedic and sports therapy clinic in the Washington, DC area. He has a special clinical interest in manual therapy, sports medicine, and general orthopedics. 

Lyndsey Mountain

Lyndsey Mountain

Physical Therapy Licensed Applicant

Lyndsey Mountain joined UHS in 2019 as a Physical Therapy Licensed Applicant. She was previously working as a personal trainer at the RSF. Lyndsey trained as a physiotherapist in the UK and moved to California after living and working as an acute care physical therapist in Singapore. She received degrees in psychology and physical therapy from the UK. Lyndsey will be with Tang for 6 months as she completes her California Licensure requirements under the supervision of the physical therapy staff. Lyndsey is interested in the maintenance and promotion of functional movement in older adults and the implications for overall wellness and quality of life. 

Liz Nguyen

Liz Nguyen, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Liz Nguyen received both her undergraduate degree and DPT  from Mount St. Mary's University. She completed a one-year residency in Orthopedics and a one-year fellowship in Sports Medicine at Kaiser in Los Angeles. She's an avid runner.

Emily Noe

Emily Noe, PT, DPT, OMT

Physical Therapist

Emily Noe joined UHS in 2018 as a Physical Therapist. She received her BFA in Dance from Montclair State University, her DPT from Florida International University, and completed her Residency and Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Therapy through the Ola Grimsby Institute. Prior to joining UHS, Emily worked in an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Seattle. She was awarded best Physical Therapist in the 425 area code in 2016. Emily has a special clinical interest in orthopedics, dance injury, and prevention.  
Mary Popylisen

Mary Popylisen, PT, MSPT, ATC

Physical Therapy Manager

Mary Popylisen joined UHS in 2000 as the Physical Therapy Manager. She received her BS in Biological Sciences from UC Davis and her MSPT from the University of the Pacific. Prior to joining UHS, Mary worked at the Children’s Hospital in Oakland and completed a post-graduate year-long orthopedic manual therapy course. She has a special clinical interest in manual therapy and sports medicine and she's also a Certified Athletic Trainer.

Physical Therapy Interns

Throughout the year, we are preceptors for Physical Therapy Interns completing their final affiliations before graduating with their Doctoral Degrees in Physical Therapy. Our professional staff directly supervises the Physical Therapy Interns.
