I always seem to be disappointed with my boyfriend.
He says he cares about me and misses me whenever we’re apart but his actions show otherwise, such as canceling dates and setting a time limit on how much we should spend time together since he’s so busy with school. And whenever we’re together, we’re usually doing something he wants, especially having sex. Sometimes I feel that he does care about me but am I being delusional and is he just lying?
This does seem odd to me. I think you should see how he’s spending his time without you. If he’s making way more time for other friends and canceling on you, I think you should reevaluate your relationship. It concerns me that the only thing you two do together when you spend time together is have sex – it would be a shame to have a relationship solely based on physical aspects. –Emily
Darling, first of all, this does not sound like a balanced relationship. He sounds dominant if the two of you are only doing the things he wants. Words are supposed to come with action, and if you feel that he is not following his words, then the words become meaningless. Try talking to your partner about what you’re feeling. Hope this helps. Best of luck, darling. –Jami
If you always have negative feelings when being with your boyfriend, it may be a sign that something is wrong. Although he says he cares about you, you and I both know that actions are more important than words. If you haven’t already, Mama Luv would suggest discussing with him about how you feel. If his actions continue to prove otherwise, then honey, go with your gut. You are young and smart and there are plenty of wonderful people out there for you to meet and develop great friendships and relationships. In the meantime, keep your chin up, strut with confidence, and shake what your mama gave ya! Mama Luv is here to help. - Mama Luv
