Sharing this fall’s health programs with your team

Be Well at Work – Faculty/Staff Health Programs offers a vast array of workshops, classes, and programs for faculty and staff to prevent injuries and promote health improvement. Print the promotional flyer to share with your team, or post it in a visible location (printed copies can be requested from kpatchell@berkeley.edu). This fall features Energize to Be Well, a variety of workshops, and a 6-week challenge to help faculty and staff feel more energized and engaged.

Support During Difficult Times: As national and international tragedies unfold, your staff may find themselves feeling a wide range of emotions that impact their ability to concentrate on their work. Feelings of grief, anxiety, fear, and anger can arise and cause employee distress. Managers and Supervisors are encouraged to contact Employee Assistance for consultations and/or advice on how to support their departments during these difficult times. New Name, Same Services: Be Well at Work

On Wednesday, April 6, 2016, UC Berkeley was recognized for two prestigious American Heart Association (AHA) awards: the 2015 Platinum Fit-Friendly recognition for worksite wellness and the 2015 Worksite Innovation Award for the Water Bottle Refill Stations and I Heart Tap Water campaign. The platinum level recognition is the highest level awarded by the AHA, and Berkeley is one of three UCs to receive the Platinum recognition. Associate Vice Chancellor Rosemarie Rae accepted the award at a Tang Center celebration.

University Health Services at the University of California Berkeley has been recognized as a “Leader in LGBT Healthcare Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, the educational arm of the country’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization.
