Many Services Can Be Obtained Without An Appointment

  • Birth Control requests: go to MyUCBerkeleyHealth(link is external) and on the side bar menu, click “Request Birth Control” and complete the questionnaire “Contraceptive Eligibility Questionnaire: birth control pill, patch, ring” and a nurse will contact you.
  • STI testingno appointment is needed, you can go to the Tang Center lab on the first floor.  
  • Pregnancy testing: no appointment is needed, you can go to the Tang Center lab on the first floor.  
  • Medication Abortion:  go to MyUCBerkeleyHealth and on the side bar menu, click “Request Birth Control and Pregnancy Services” and complete the questionnaire “Medication Abortion” and a nurse will contact you.
  • Prescription refills: Go to MyUCBerkeleyHealth and click on the “Medications” button and if you still have refills left, request a refill by clicking on the “request a renewal” button for that medication. If the medication is out of refills, click on the

    "Request renewal" link next to the medication you wish to renew. A message will be sent to your provider requesting a new prescription.

  • Cold, Flu and COVID testing and care: see our page on Colds and Respiratory Infections for how to book tests and get care.
  • Non-urgent medical questions to your primary care team: Log into MyUCBerkeleyHealth(link is external) > select "Messages" then "Send a New Message" and click on "Ask your care team a question." Please allow 3 business days for a response. 
  • Questions about TB screening or vaccination requirements: Log in to eTang > select Messages > New Message > Click "Contact the TB/Immunization Team." For Fall 2025, messages to the Mandatory TB & Immunization team will remain in eTang
