Struggling in my math class

July 14, 2014

I've been struggling so much in my math class. I've been to office hours, got tutoring from friends and the EECS honor society, etc.

I am still struggling and I'm afraid I might fail the class because I don't understand what's going on. Every day I walk out of class either tired or in tears.

I'm sorry to read about your difficult experiences with your math class. Some classes at Berkeley are tough and it is not uncommon to repeat a course. Getting extra help from others can help. Consider going to the Student Learning Center for academic support too. For emotional support, you can always call the UHS Counseling and Psychological Services at (510) 642-9494. In the meantime, focus on the basics: eat, sleep, exercise regularly, and surround yourself with people who care about you. Also, try to find ways to cheer yourself up. And keep up with your other classes. Best wishes to you.
