Pharmacy Technician

Raemona Chappell joined the UHS Pharmacy team in 2003. She received her CPHT license from Western Career College in California. Her favorite pastimes are reading science fiction novels and watching nature documentaries. When she's not working, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband and son.

Ivonne Chavez-Mejia

Pharmacy Technician

Ivonne Chavez-Mejia joined the UHS Pharmacy team in 2001. She received her Associate's in Pharmacy Technology from Silicon Valley College. Ivonne loves spending time with her Olde English Bulldog, Blanca, and Maltipoo, Christmas. She enjoys gardening on weekends and fishing with her husband in San Pablo Bay. 

Jen Chou, RPh

Pharmacist 

Jen Chou joined the UHS Pharmacy team in 2018. She received her PharmD from Rutgers University and was once a published essayist in an early 2000s pharmacy magazine. Jen has previously worked as a Kaiser pharmacist and has a special clinical interest in women’s health (including contraceptives). She loves to cook (she makes a great mushroom bourguignon), attend one-person shows at the theater, and play with her two cats, Inky and Ninja.

Laura Hoang, PharmD 

Pharmacist

Laura Hoang joined UHS in 2020. She previously worked at a long-term care pharmacy focused on chronic disease management. Laura has also worked as a Walmart pharmacist, where she enjoyed helping patients solve medication-related problems. Before being drawn to the clinical aspect of medicine, Laura used to develop antibodies for cancer diagnosis at Biocare Medical, and she still has a secret wish to pursue research and write publications.

Laura received her PharmD from Touro University and has clinical interests in autism, women’s health, and chronic disease management. She enjoys activities involving shapes and colors, such as flower arranging, interior design, and jewelry design.

Diana Lee, PharmD

Pharmacist

Diana Lee joined the UHS Pharmacy team in 2014. She received her BA in Chinese from UC Berkeley and her PharmD from UCSF. She has a special clinical interest in women's health, alternative medicine, and preventative care. Diana was born and raised in Berkeley and is a lifetime Golden Bears fan! In her spare time, she enjoys practicing yoga, traveling with her husband, and being a plant parent to her 30+ plants. 

Aiza Llona

Pharmacy Technician

Aiza Llona joined the UHS Pharmacy team in 2019. She received her AAS in Pharmacy Technology from Heald College and has a special clinical interest in adolescent medicine, mental health, and the treatment of diabetes and COPD. Prior to joining UHS, Aiza worked as a CVS Pharmacy Technician while studying to become PTCB-certified to become a lead tech. Aiza likes to spend time with her family and two dogs - a father-son Pekingese-Chihuahua mix named Bubba and Bruno. She also enjoys listening to music from hip-hop, R&B, K-pop, and podcasts. Along with music, she enjoys drawing - both activities help her feel balanced and peaceful.

Melissa Locke, PharmD

Pharmacist

Melissa Lock joined the UHS Pharmacy team in 2017. She received her BS in Molecular Toxicology from UC Berkeley and her PharmD from the University of the Pacific. In addition to working at UHS, Melissa has worked in hospital pharmacy, with a focus on specialty disease states such as HIV and oncology. She has a special clinical interest in nutritional sciences, exercise physiology, and dermatology. She enjoys meal prepping, weight training, HIIT, traveling, reading, and relaxing in her spare time.

Tony Lum, PharmD

Pharmacist

Tony Lum joined the UHS Pharmacy team in 2006. He received his PharmD from the University of the Pacific. He enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his family.

Zain Morin, PharmD, MPH 

Pharmacist

Zain Morin has been with UHS since 1994. He earned his baccalaureate degree in pharmacy from the University of Connecticut and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Idaho State University, a Postgraduate Diploma in infectious disease from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and a Master of Public Health in infectious disease and immunology from UC Berkeley. Zain's interests in clinical pharmacy include critical care medicine, infectious diseases, travel medicine, and haematology/oncology. He is a certified Emergency Medical Technician, board-certified by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties, and has credentials with both the American Academy of HIV Medicine and the International Society of Travel Medicine.

Zain is involved in various volunteer projects, including medical relief missions in developing countries, HIV/STI test counseling with the SF Department of Public Health, and medical volunteer work at the annual Burning Man event. Zain's other activities include hiking, camping, biking, tennis, and traveling the world. He has always enjoyed connecting with staff and serving students at UHS and considers it one of his favourite places to work. 

Donna Mui, PharmD

Pharmacist

Huong Phan

Pharmacy Technician

Huong Phan joined UHS in 2020. She received her BS in Mathematics from UC Davis and her AS in Chemistry from Contra Costa College. Huong has previously worked as a Walgreens pharmacy technician and, recently, as a 2020 census enumerator for the US Census Bureau. When she has plenty of time, she likes to cook, but the final results and taste are inconsistent (though she swears they are edible)! During the pandemic, Huong planted a small garden in her backyard and finished a few novels.

Catherine Pham, PharmD

Pharmacist

Cat received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health Sciences from UC Irvine and her PharmD from Sullivan University College of Pharmacy. Her areas of expertise include complementary and alternative medicine. 

Chelsea Saechao

Pharmacy Technician 

Chelsea received her Associate's Degree in Natural Science and Mathematics at Napa Valley Community College and graduated. She also earned her Pharmacy Technician license while attending Community College. Chelsea transferred to UC Davis and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science. Prior to joining UHS in 2022, Chelsea worked at Cardinal Health as a Pharmacy Technician for 4 years. 

During winter, Chelsea loves to snowboard. 

Jenne Salvador, PharmD

Pharmacist

Jenee Salvador joined the UHS Pharmacy team in 2020. She received her BA in Psychology from UC Irvine and her PharmD from UC San Francisco. She also works at a CVS Pharmacy and is a Warriors and 49ers fan. 

Nguyet Vo, PharmD

Pharmacist

Nguyet Vo joined the UHS Pharmacy team in 2019. She received her BA in Integrated Biology from UC Berkeley and her PharmD from Touro University. She's also worked at a Walgreens pharmacy and a skilled nursing pharmacy. Nguyet enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, attending tennis matches with her husband, and anything beach-related.
