Our Clinical Services Leadership and Administrative team provides strategic oversight, coordination, and support for medical and healthcare services at UC Berkeley. This dedicated group of professionals guides program development, clinical operations, and staff support to ensure students have access to high-quality, timely, and equitable care. With a shared commitment to student well-being, collaboration, and continuous improvement, the team plays a vital role in shaping a campus environment that prioritizes health, safety, and inclusion.

Elizabeth Adams

Elizabeth Adams, DNP, RN, NE-BC, CPHQ, CNL

Clinical Quality Manager

Elizabeth Adams joined UHS in 2016 as a Registered Nurse in Primary Care and assumed the role of Clinical Operations Manager in 2017. In 2023, Elizabeth transitioned into a Clinical Quality Manager role. Elizabeth received her BA from Stanford University, MSN from UCLA, and DNP in Executive Leadership from the University of San Francisco. She is board certified as a Nurse Executive, Clinical Nurse Leader, and Public Health Nurse. She has a clinical interest in healthcare leadership, integrated care, primary and secondary prevention, and behavioral health.

Lucy Chacon

Interim Primary Care Operations Manager, Clinical Services Integration and Implementation Analyst

Lucy began working at UHS in 2008 as a Medical Assistant until she transitioned into a supervisory role in 2016. Lucy enjoys patient-facing work and working behind the scenes to improve patient care and patient satisfaction. She also enjoys working on projects that help streamline ways of caring for UHS students. Lucy is a big geek when it comes to thinking of ways we can modernize ourselves using newer technology to better connect with students. Additionally, Lucy project managed the complete renovations of UHS' Primary Care and Pharmacy departments.

Matthew likes to work out and listen to music in his spare time, especially disco and Italo disco.

Nathalie Clift

Nathalie received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management and AA in Business Administration.

Outside of work, Nathalie loves to work out, hike, and go on bike rides in her spare time. She also enjoys hanging out with her friends

Amy Hockenbrock, MD

Pronouns: She/her

Associate Medical Director

Dr. Amy Hockenbrock is a board-certified family medicine physician with a certificate of added qualification in primary care sports medicine. Dr. Hockenbrock’s interests include sports medicine, LGBTQ care, and women's care. Dr. Hockenbrock was an undergraduate at UC Berkeley where she studied Molecular and Cell Biology and led Cal’s women’s soccer team to multiple playoff berths from 1996 through 2000.  

She received her M.D. from Chicago Medical School and then returned to San Jose for residency and primary care sports medicine fellowship at O’Connor Hospital. Following fellowship, Dr. Hockenbrock was an attending physician at Family Medicine Associates of San Jose before joining West Coast Sports Institute. From 2018-2019 she worked for Planned Parenthood as Interim Transgender Program Director for the Mar Monte region. Through this experience, she was able to combine her sports medicine knowledge with her expertise in transgender care. Dr. Hockenbrock recently rejoined the Cal community as an Associate Team Physician, bringing her skills in sports medicine and gender-affirming care to UC Berkeley.

Kymberly Torres-Garcia

Clinical Services Administrative Assistant III

Kymberly received her AS in Medical Assisting from Heald College in 2006 and immediately joined UHS.  After initially working in the Urgent and Primary Care and Physical Therapy Department, Kym has now transitioned into an Administrative role in Clinical Services. She enjoys traveling, photography, watching sports, and spending time with her family.
