Campus Walking Group

The campus provides many scenic locations for a rejuvenating
walk during your work break. Below are some activities and resources
to assist you.
Health*Matters Walking Group
Every Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (Year-Round)
12:10 pm, Campanile (South Side) **Due to construction during the
summer months, the Walking Group will be meeting across the street from
the West side of the Campanile.
Led by Walking Leaders, the Health*Matters Walking Group
takes you on different routes through campus and accommodates all levels
of fitness walkers, from moderate to brisk. Enjoy the benefits of walking
by taking a 30-35 minute walk through campus with your colleagues.
During the summer months, the Walking Group offers a prize
incentive program for participating walkers. For information regarding

You will find a variety of educational materials and resources on exercise/fitness
covering such topics as fitness walking techniques, warm up and stretches,
exercise planner, exercise injuries, finding your target heart rate,
and walking in different weather conditions.

Summer Walking Group Kick-Off
Wednesday, June 10, 2009 12:10-1pm
Meet across the street from theWest side of the Campanile.
Come to the Kick-Off event on June 10 at 12:10 for your chance to
spin the Prize Wheel. Everyone's a winner! Prizes include: buttons,
pedometers, water bottles, t-shirts and more! (While supplies last)
Pedometers will be available for purchase at the Kick-Off event:
Accusplit AE2720STEP pedometers, $7 (tax included). Please
pay by cash (exact change preferred) or check (made out to UC Regents).
