Harvard Healthy Eating Plate

Healthy Eating Plate - Created by nutrition experts at the Harvard School of Public Health and editors at Harvard Health Publications, this model provides simple guidance for making healthy choices at each meal.

  • Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics - Information about healthy lifestyles, nutrition fact sheets, and daily nutrition tips and eating guides. This website also provides a list of available nutrition resources and books.
  • BayROC - Bay Area Recycling Outreach Coalition. A collaboration between staff representing over 40 San Francisco Bay Area cities, counties, and other public agencies working together on waste reduction and buy-recycled concepts through a variety of media campaigns that promote personal action and behavior change.
  • Healthy Meetings and Events - This guide provides recommendations and implementation tips to ensure faculty, staff, and students have access to healthy food and beverage choices at all campus-supported events serving refreshments. 
  • Healthfinder - A government website where you will find information and tools to help you and those you care about stay healthy.
  • Nutrition Action - Produced by the nonprofit Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), this website is loaded with practical tips for eating right, cooking healthful recipes, and avoiding food-safety dangers, as well as news of the latest developments in nutrition and health.
  • Nutrition.gov - Easy access to vetted food and nutrition information from across the federal government.
  • The Nutrition Source - Evidence-based information on diet and nutrition for clinicians, allied health professionals, and the public. Launched in 2001 by the Department of Nutrition at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, The Nutrition Source accepts no advertising or commercial sponsorship, nor does it endorse any particular products.
  • UC Berkeley Wellness Letter - Evidence-based coverage of the news about preventive medicine, self-care, nutrition, fitness, and mental well-being in practical, engaging, and easy-to-use language.
  • How to Understand and Use the Nutrition Facts Label - The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) made its first major updates to the Nutrition Facts label in over 20 years. Use this FDA guide to learn how to use the new label.
