The doctoral internship program is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) and our postdoctoral fellowship is a member of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC).

In addition, we have a nationally recognized two-year Post-MSW Fellowship in Clinical Social Work and a Career Counseling Internship.

Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology

The doctoral internship program is committed to providing comprehensive training experiences to facilitate interns' professional development and personal growth. A primary goal is to help interns consolidate their clinical and consultation skills, and to integrate these into their professional identities as psychologists. This training experience marks the significant developmental transition of interns from trainees to well-rounded professionals who are able to function competently and autonomously and who will contribute to the field of psychology and to the welfare of clients and society in general.

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Health Service Psychology

The postdoctoral fellowship program in health service psychology is committed to providing comprehensive training experiences that will facilitate postdoctoral fellows’ development as independent professional psychologists. A primary goal of the program is to assist fellows in strengthening and consolidating their clinical and professional skills and integrating these skills into their professional identities as psychologists. It is expected that fellows will be able to function competently and autonomously by the end of the training year. The fellows will receive advanced clinical training and supervision in brief therapy and crisis intervention in a multidisciplinary, multicultural university counseling service.

Post-MSW Fellowship in Clinical Social Work

The post-MSW fellowship is a postgraduate training program committed to providing comprehensive clinical experience and professional development opportunities in the field of college mental health. The program aims to meet the needs of pre-licensed postgraduate clinical social workers who have a Master of Social Work and are working to consolidate clinical skills and professional identity while accruing post-graduate hours on the path to licensure.

Career Counseling Internship

The Career Counseling internship program provides training and experiences with university students seeking career, academic, and personal development, with an emphasis on individual counseling. Career interns participate in the many career-related components of CAPS including one-on-one career counseling, workshops, outreach to the campus community, and the career resources library.
