UC Walks for Wellness on June 16

Wrapping up Staff Appreciation Week, the 8th annual UC Walks: Cal Walks at Work Day is scheduled for Friday, June 16. Supervisors can show their appreciation and boost morale by encouraging attendance as a team, joining your team on the walk, and making it fun with some team props! Group walks begin at 12:10 pm from four campus locations to converge for the Celebration Event at Memorial Glade where participants receive a free UC Walks t-shirt (courtesy of UC’s medical and behavioral health plans), enjoy light refreshments, and join in our signature flash mob.  Be Well at Work-Wellness Program coordinates UC Walks, which kicks off the Summer Walking Challenge, and programs to support faculty and staff to lead healthier lives.

See the UC Walks webpage for the promotional video, a flyer to spread the word, and registration.

Reminder: Career development workshops through June

Career Development workshops are now scheduled for May and June, addressing a range of topics intended to help staff develop clarity and action plans. The goal is to cultivate the connection between one’s interests, abilities, and opportunities at the University.  Please encourage interested staff to review their options, and, of course, feel free to participate yourself! Advance registration is required through the UC Learning Center.
