Managing Emotions (6 Weeks)

This 6-week group is designed to introduce students to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) principles and skills. Participants will learn mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills to manage emotions more effectively.

Please note: It is required that participants are in concurrent individual therapy for the duration of the group.

Fall 2025

Session 1:

  • Thursdays, 3:15pm - 4:45pm,  (October 2 - November 6, 2025)
  • Tang Center - Room 3220
  • Facilitated by Sara Lipton-Carey, LCSW and Sheela Vashishtha, LCSW 

Session 2:

  • Fridays, Weekly 10:30am - 12pm (Oct 31-Dec 12, skipping Nov 28 for Thanksgiving)
  • Location: Virtual on Zoom
  • Facilitated by Sasha Blum, PhD and Emily Taplin, LCSW
