Stacey Eddie Allen, RN

Stacey received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at LSU (Louisiana State University). She worked in medical telemetry for 4 years and in the ER for 4 years. Her clinical interests are Emergency Department, IV starts, and urinary and bowel complications.

Angela Bonaventura, RN 

Pronoun: She/Her/Hers

Angela Bonaventura joined UHS in 2012 as a Registered Nurse in Urgent Care. She received her BA in Humanities from the New College of California and her associate's degree in Nursing from Chabot College. In addition to working at UHS, Angela volunteers on medical missions to support communities impacted by natural disasters.

Generosa Buenaflor-Roth, RN

Generosa Buenaflor-Roth, RN, is a Registered Nurse in the Urgent Care department.

Favian Castro, RN, MSN

Pronouns: He/Him/His

Favian Castro joined UHS in 2017 as a Primary Care Nurse. He previously served as a Case Manager RN at La Clinica in Vallejo and Clinic RN at Ole Heath in Napa. Favian earned his ASN from Solano Community College (2014) and his MSN from Touro University (2016). He has a clinical interest in health promotion/disease prevention, diabetes management, wound care, and sexual health.

Janice Chen, RN

A graduate of Cal State East Bay (CSUEB), Janice Chen joined UHS in late 2021 as a clinical nurse on the Urgent Care team. Prior to her arrival at UC Berkeley, Janice lived and worked in San Diego. 

In her free time, Janice finds herself getting lost in a good book, cooking tasty dishes, and exploring the world through travel.

Stephanie DeLeon-Valencia, RN

Stephanie Deleon-Valencia joined UHS in 2018 as a Primary Care nurse. She received her BS from Binghamton University (SUNY) and her BSN from Northeastern University. Stephanie has a special clinical interest in health promotion, public health, diabetes management education, and behavioral health.

Monica Garcia joined UHS in 2019 as a Registered Nurse in Primary Care. She received her BA from UC Berkeley and her MSN from UC San Francisco. Monica has a special clinical interest in reproductive rights.

Diane Goldman, RN, PNP, MSN

Diane Goldman joined UHS in 2017 in the Allergy/Travel Clinic. She received her BS from the University of Bridgeport (1972) and her MSN from NY Medical College/Pace University Graduate School of Nursing (1975). 

Mary Anne Hammond, RN, BSN, AE-C

Mary Anne Hammond joined UHS as a Registered Nurse in the Allergy/Travel department. She received her BSN from San Jose State University and has a special clinical interest in health promotion and asthma education (she’s a certified asthma educator).

Kathryn Haught, RN

Kathryn Haught joined UHS in 2016 as a Nurse in Urgent Care. She attended nursing school at Cal State University, Chico (2011). Kathryn has a special clinical interest in health promotion, wellness, and diabetes management education.

Joan Hauser, RN, MPH

Specialty Nurse Manager

Joan Hauser joined UHS in 2015, assumed the role of RN Collaborative Care Manager in 2017, and transitioned into the Specialty Nurse Manager position in 2019. She received her BSN from Samuel Merritt University (2008) and her MPH from the University of San Francisco (2014). Joan has a special clinical interest in providing whole-person care and behavioral/ mental health.

Carmen Lee, RN

Carmen Lee joined UHS in 2016 as a Registered Nurse in Primary Care. She received her BS in Nursing from San Francisco State University. Carmen previously worked at Asian Health Services, a community clinic in Oakland. She's especially interested in learning more about women's health.

Allyson Ochsner, RN, MSN

Allyson joined UHS  in 2018 as a Clinical Nurse in the Allergy/Travel clinic. She received her BA from Washington University and her BSN and MSN from the University of Washington. Allyson has a special clinical interest in infectious disease, reproductive health, and public health and is a member of Medical Teams International’s Humanitarian Response Team.

Andrew Valeriano-Rollins, LVN

Andrew joined UHS in 2023 as a Licensed Vocational Nurse for Specialty Clinic and Inter Collegiate Athletics. Andrew, a driven professional, commenced his career with a Bachelor's in Business Management before making a remarkable transition into healthcare. After graduating with honors from Unitek College in 2022, he swiftly established himself in the nursing domain.

His passion for acute and emergent care is evident through his multifaceted roles in the Emergency Department and as a school nurse and skilled phlebotomist. Driven by an unwavering commitment to growth, Andrew aspires to elevate his career by pursuing a future path to become a registered nurse. His journey from business management to excelling in the healthcare sector showcases his adaptability, dedication, and passion for making a difference in the lives of others.

Jenny Stockford joined UHS in 2003 as a Registered Nurse. She received her BSN and MSN from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Jenny has a special clinical interest in gynecology and sexually transmitted diseases. She is certified as a public health nurse.

Carrie Whitaker, RN, PHN

Infection Control and Prevention Nurse

Carrie earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond VA; a Master of Public Health (MPH) within the Infectious Disease and Vaccinology Division at UC Berkeley School of Public Health; and currently holds a Wound and Ostomy Nurse Certification (CWON), with her training accomplished at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio TX. She practiced Medical-Surgical nursing in hospital settings both in Richmond and in Austin and served as a CWON Nurse in hospital settings and for a home health agency in San Francisco.

Just prior to joining UHS, she spent the past four years as both a Public Health Nurse Case Manager for CA's Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program and as a Nurse Consultant for both the CA Department of Public Health and the CA Department of Health Care Services. Carrie's specialties are in public health nursing, healthcare-associated infection prevention, clinical education and quality assurance, and wound and ostomy care nursing. She has a passion for public health communications and human-centered, community-informed, health program design.

In her free time, she loves road-tripping throughout CA and beyond. Carrie also loves to bicycle, camp, dance, and see movies in the theater.

Sara Wright, RN, WHNP-BC, ANP-C

Allergy/Travel Clinic

COVID-19 Team Lead

Sara Wright joined UHS in 2020 in the role of COVID-19 Team Lead for the Allergy/Travel Clinic. She was previously a nurse practitioner at Planned Parenthood in Oakland. Sara received her BA in Anthropology from Yale, her MA in Anthropology from Harvard, and her BSN and MSN from MGH Institute of Health Professionals. She is interested in reproductive health, reproductive justice, infectious disease, and addressing health inequities. Sara loves to travel to new places (near and far), spend time outside, and hang out with her husband and kiddo.

Sara is board-certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) from NCC and an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) from AANP.
