Birth Control: Medical, Counseling and Educational Services
Tang Center offers the following services that can be of help to students
needing birth control.

Sexual Health Education
Program (SHEP) peer educators are students trained to discuss
sexual health and birth control. They are available at the Tang
Center for free, confidential appointments. SHEP peer educators
can talk with you about:
- Birth control methods, including emergency contraception
- Safer sex and how to make it fun
- LGBTIQQ sexual health issues
- Sexual communication and decision-making
- Sexually transmitted infections
- Various other sexual health concerns
Call 642-2000 to schedule an appointment with a SHEP peer educator.
Partners are welcome to attend.

| Birth control pills (BCP)
refills |
- If it has been less than one year since your last prescription,
check with your pharmacy for refills. If you are out of refills,
and have 3 days or more before you need to restart, make a "Hormonal
Contraceptive Refill" appointment with the Clinic 1 nurse
by calling 642-2000.
- If you purchased your BCP at an outside pharmacy, you can
ask the Tang Center Pharmacy to transfer the prescription.
- If you are out of pills completely, call the Advice Nurse
at 643-7197 during regular business hours.
- If it has been longer then one year since your last annual,
please call 642-2000 to make an appointment.

| Over-the-counter birth
control |
Over-the-counter products,
including condoms, are available for purchase at the Tang Center
Pharmacy. |
| Pregnancy testing |
Pregnancy testing is done
on a drop-in basis at Clinic 4. For detailed instructions, see Pregnancy
Options: Medical, Counseling and Educational Services. |
