A wide variety of immunizations are available at UHS.

  • Flu shots (see the schedule during flu season, approximately October until the supply runs out)
  • HPV - Human Papilloma Virus (Gardasil)

  • Japanese Encephalitis*
  • MMR (measles, mumps, rubella combined, not available separately)
  • Meningococcal:

    • PCV 13 
  • Polio
  • Rabies
  • Shingles
  • Td (tetanus and diphtheria toxoid)
  • Tdap (tetanus and diphtheria toxoids and acellular pertussis)
  • Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccine combined

  • Vaccinia (smallpox)
  • Varicella (chickenpox) 
  • Yellow fever*

Appointments

Appointments are needed for all vaccines. 

Schedule online through the eTang Portal (students only) or call (510) 643-7177. Special instructions:

  • Travel-specific vaccines: Travel-specific vaccines such as yellow fever require a travel consult appointment. Call (510) 643-7177 for more information or see International Travel Care for more details. 
  • COVID-19 vaccinesInformation about COVID-19 vaccine clinics on campus and how to find them in the community.
  • Flu vaccines: There are a series of flu vaccine clinics held each fall that require no appointment.

Fees

There is a fee for all vaccines, payable at the time the immunization is administered. Students may consult the UHS cashier or SHIP office for current pricing or see sample fees list for some pricing. SHIP covers vaccines at 100% according to plan benefits.
