SHEP Clinic

Clinic is your chance to meet with a SHEP peer educator one-on-one. You can ask questions, discuss things you've been wondering about, and talk about anything else that comes up. You can also get some free condom and lube samples. Your peer educator is there for you, so don't by shy.

Topics you might want to talk about:

• safer sex and how to make it fun,
• sexual pleasure and orgasm,
• decision-making and alternatives to sex,
• contraceptive options, including emergency contraception,
• LGBTIQQ sexual health issues,
• sexual communication with a partner,
• STI/HIV testing and resources,
• and anything else that comes up!
  

All SHEP appointments are free and confidential. Partners are welcome to attend. To schedule an appointment, please call (510) 642-2000 or go to the appointment office in the Tang Center.

If you have any questions about SHEP clinic, please contact Monica Nguyen, the student clinic coordinator. Please keep in mind that we will not respond to confidential questions because e-mail is not secure.

The SHEP student coordinators, who are in their second year of the program, also do peer education colposcopy counseling (PECC) appointments for women scheduled for a colposcopy. For more information about PECC, please contact Karen Gee, the interim staff coordinator.
