Dear Members of the Campus Community: The staff of the University Health Services would like to reach out to help those affected by the recent, senseless death of one of our students. Our counseling staff has been actively working with students, staff and faculty who were immediately affected by this tragedy, and they continue to be available to all campus community members as the impact of this event unfolds. Particularly in light of the added stress associated with the end of the semester, we would like to remind you of the services and resources that can assist you at this difficult time. Counseling and Psychological Services (510/642-9494) offers individual counseling to all registered students, and provides consultation to staff and faculty who are concerned about students' welfare. CARE Services (510/643-7754), our campus employee assistance program, offers individual counseling to all faculty, staff and departments. Our counselors also are available to attend classes and meetings of student groups or campus departments to help you address the impact of this tragic incident. We also have designed support materials that can assist you at this time. The following two documents may be especially helpful: Please feel free to distribute these resources, as well as some of the other educational materials available on our website, to assist us in reaching out to members of our campus community. Sincerely, Claudia Covello,
