AIDS Walk 2008

Help us build on the unprecedented success of the past three years by joining the Cal AIDS Walk Team, UC Berkeley team for the 22nd Annual San
Francisco AIDS Walk on Sunday, July 20, 2008. As one of the top 20 fundraising teams, UC Berkeley has qualified as a Gold Team for the past two years. We hope to make this our third Gold Team year.

The 10 kilometer (6.2 miles) walk, which begins in Sharon Meadow in Golden
Gate Park, San Francisco, at 10:30 a.m., takes about two to three hours to
complete. There is an opening ceremony at 9:45 a.m. and a post-walk concert
with a lineup of celebrities at 12:30 p.m.

Last year over $4.4 million was raised by the San Francisco AIDS Walk -- and
over $32,000 of that was raised by the Cal team of 300 strong! Money raised
will go to bay area HIV/AIDS service organizations.

You can show your support by registering as a walker, by sponsoring a team
member, by volunteering, or by making a donation in our team name:
University of California Berkeley (Team #0087).

A minimum contribution is not required for participation. You can register
as a walker and fundraise even if you cannot attend the event or are unable
to walk all or part of the course. If you are registered and able to walk
that day you will receive a special team t-shirt, breakfast and lunch.
