University Health Services employs over 300 people, including physicians, psychiatrists, consulting medical specialists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, physical therapists, pharmacists, health educators, psychologists, social workers, and a variety of other health professionals and support staff. In addition to paid staff, approximately 400 Cal students and over 50 community volunteers participate in UHS peer, intern, and volunteer programs.

Volunteer Opportunities	Volunteer opportunities at University Health Services: Student Volunteer Program: Regrettably, we will not be accepting applications for the Spring 2012 student volunteer program (excluding Pharmacy), due to program reassessment/evaluation. Please check back in summer 2012 for updates to the volunteer program during the 2012-2013 academic year. Community Volunteers: Community volunteers contribute throughout the Tang Center, including working at the Information Desk, helping with special events, such as the flu shot clinics; and assisting in various departments. HIV Outreach Workers (Berkeley Builds Capacity): The Berkeley Builds Capacity program is looking for dedicated, passionate people to volunteer as community outreach workers with the Berkeley Free Clinic HIV testing van.
