Have you ever thought you could be a hero? You can be by supporting blood drives. Donate. Volunteer. Encourage others. Spread the word. Sponsor drives.

UC Berkeley Blood Drives are sponsored by the American Red Cross (ARC) and UC San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center together and are held on the first Monday of most months of the year. These drives provide much needed blood to hospitals throughout the Bay Area. Everyone can be a hero in their own special way by supporting blood drives:

2007-08 Blood Drive Schedule
UC Berkeley Blood Drives are held the first Monday of most months of the year with a few additional dates for theme-based campaigns. Appointments to donate are encouraged and walk-ins are always welcome. To schedule an appointment, please register and sign-up at the beadonor.com, the American Red Cross website. (http://www.beadonor.com/index.cfm?Group=Registration).You will need to specify the sponsor code "UCB."

Who can donate blood?
You are eligible to donate blood if you are in good health, weigh at least 110 pounds and are 17 years or older. Please see the Basic Eligibility Guidelines for an initial self-screening if you are eligible to donate blood. If you are not eligible or you prefer to not donate blood, please know there are other ways to support campus blood drives through volunteering, encouraging others, spreading the word and/or sponsoring drives.
