Step Up to Fitness Pedometer
Program Find out how you can fit fitness into your day by walking 10,000 steps wearing a pedometer. Know Your Numbers Health Screening
($10 fee) Know Your Numbers is a fasting health screening for total
cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, glucose, blood pressure, and optional
body mass index (BMI), waist circumference and body fat. Receive your
confidential results immediately and attend Leading a Healthy Lifestyle
(optional workshop) to gain a better understanding of your results and
resources.
Restorative Yoga Introduction In this introductory class, participants will learn
how Restorative Yoga encourages a state of deep relaxation using props
and simple poses that can be done anywhere. Bring a yoga mat and/or
blanket or beach towel. Enroll at UCB
Learning Center. Dancing for Fitness Fit some fun and fitness into your day with these free, beginner dance classes including salsa, brazilian, jazz funk and more. No partner required. Enroll at UCB Learning Center. Co-sponsored with Recreational Sports. Leading a Healthy Lifestyle
workshop Gain a better understanding of specific diet and exercise habits to reduce your health risks and the resources available to you. This workshop is a good first step following Know Your Numbers health screening or completion of your Staywell or Kaiser Health Assessment (HA). UCB Learning Center. Healthy Habits Lifestyle Incentive
Program Over 12-weeks, Healthy Habits can help you successfully
improve your eating and physical activity habits. Each week, participants
choose a simple goal, track progress, receive weekly wellness bulletins,
and earn rewards along the way. Eat Smart Get Fit ($30 fee) This 6-week action-based program jumpstarts you into a healthy lifestyle. Includes fitness and nutrition assessments, weekly group workout with a personal trainer, class sessions with the registered dietitian and an Accusplit pedometer. Participants are expected to complete the online nutrition program and are encouraged to walk three times a week. Enroll at UCB Learning Center. Healthy & Quick Meals Get tools for meal planning and fresh ideas for delicious
meals that are healthy and quick to prepare for a busy lifestyle. UCB
Learning Center. Adult CPR with AED ($45
for RSF members, $60 for non-members) Learn life-saving CPR and receive certification from the
American Red Cross. Enroll online at http://calbears.berkeley.edu
and go to the Fitness section. Enrollment is limited. Co-sponsored
