DEPRESSION AWARENESS DAY 2012
Depression impacts 1 in 10 every year. Join UC in learning about depression and how to get support for yourself, your family, your coworkers, or someone else you care about. An educational webinar was repeated four times throughout the day, with an opportunity for in-person discussions with CARE Services staff twice at the Tang Center immediately following two of the sessions.

CARE Services for Faculty & Staff
Provides free, confidential problem assessment and referral for UC Berkeley faculty and staff.
Offers information about depressive disorders and treatment.
Behavioral Health Benefits
Behavioral health benefits are provided by United Behavioral Health (UBH) for employees enrolled in Health Net HMO, Health Net Blue & Gold HMO, Western Health Advantage, Anthem Lumenos PPO with HRA, Anthem Blue Cross PLUS and Anthem Blue Cross PPO plans. Kaiser members have access to Kaiser's integrated behavioral health services and to the UBH services and network that apply to the other plans.

Services Offered by CARE Services
CARE Services is the campus faculty and staff assistance program providing free, confidential problem assessment and referral for UC Berkeley faculty and staff. It is also the employee assistance program for the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Other services for individuals include the Elder Care Program, crisis intervention and workshops.
In addition to services to individuals, CARE Services also provides free and confidential consultation and training services for faculty and staff management and campus administration related to behavioral health problems such as mental illness, chemical dependency, interpersonal problems, employee deaths, threats of violence, work stress and change management, etc., that impact workplace functioning.
