Stress and Anxiety: Medical, Counseling and Educational Services

Stress and anxiety are unavoidable as a student. However, at times, it can become a problem:

  • Do you have trouble managing the demands of school, work or relationships?
  • Are you so stressed that you can barely study, work, eat?
  • Do you become so anxious during exams that you blank out and can't think clearly?
  • Do you have panic attacks that come on suddenly and out of the blue?

Tang Center offers the following services that can be of help. Note: Mills students should contact the Mills Health & Counseling Office.

Counselors at Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) are skilled at assessing stress and anxiety and can help determine what would be helpful in your situation. We will help you find referrals in the community if this counseling is not right for you. Call 642-9494 to make first-time appointments at CPS.

If your stress and anxiety is of an urgent nature, ask to see the counselor on duty. Also see After Hours: What to do when Tang is Closed.
